My Story
I really hadn't had very much exposure to Scentsy when I joined in the Fall of 2009. I just had 1 full size warmer and about 6 bars but was becoming more and more curious about the products. Then I learned about Scenty's "Contribute 2009" campaign after I had recently been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Local Scentsy consultants had chosen my husband's small business to support, after learning of my diagnosis and knowing his generosity in giving to other fundrasing events in the area. When the ladies left his shop he said, "This is really cool stuff, you should sell it!". Well that's all I needed to hear...with my husband backing the idea I had nothing holding me back from giving it a try. After attending my very first Scentsy Convention in the Summer of 2011, in Fort Worth, TX I came home truly inspired. I told my husband, " I want to be a Director...I am going to do this!". And with the support of my wonderful Team, I DID DO IT! I promoted to Director in December of 2011 and having been loving my new leadership role within this fabulous company. Next, I attended Director Boot Camp at the home office in Idaho, and once again was overwhelmed by the positive feeling this company sends you home with. I was able to take my husband on my first incentive trip to Punta Cana in July 2012...I have never had an employer send me on an expense paid vacation for a week! Since then, I have earned 6 more Incentive trips, taking me to Hawaii, The Atlantis in the Bahamas, a Royal Caribbean cruise to the Southern Caribbean, a trip with my husband and two youngest children to Walt Disney World in Florida, back to Punta Cana again last Summer, and my upcoming trip of a lifetime~ a Mediterranean cruise out of Barcelona traveling to France and Italy! I never thought when I signed up 8+ years ago, I would travel and make so many terrific friends along this journey. Scentsy has taken me places I otherwise would have never been to.
